Bridge Brunch
I love to play bridge. I am not good at bridge, but I love to play - and mostly chat with my friends. This summer it was super hard to get my bridge group together - mostly because my travel schedule was not helpful in finding an afternoon to play.
So I decided to host a Bridge Brunch so we could at least get together for a few hours, catch up, and challenge our brains.
Because I was the one who was the pain for scheduling this summer, I went all out to make this a Bridge Brunch to remember. The trick to making something like this look over the top and fabulous without having to do anything dramatic is to gather everything in one color.
For bridge, it just made sense to go with red and black - the colors of the cards - so I snagged everything I had in those colors to set the table. An old pack of cards easily turned into napkin rings (with a giant hole punch) and a Bridge Queen Crown.
For our “brunch” the frozen pastries from Trader Joe’s came in clutch - served next to sliced fruit and my Breakfast Cookies. It’s a super simple solution without having to go too all out.
